Tzedakah 2015: Tikkun Olam

Dear fellow Synagogue Softballer,

Throughout its 20-year history, part of what makes our league so unique is its impact on our community. On June 22, we’ll have a great opportunity to support two fantastic causes during the 1st-of-its-kind Synagogue Softball Golf Tournament. Starting at 10 a.m. at Braemar Country Club, the golf tournament and silent auction (sign up here or below) will raise much-needed funds New Directions for Youth and Jewish National Fund. Multiple sponsorship opportunities are available.Golf Tournament

New Directions for Youth is a North Hollywood-based nonprofit dedicated to providing comprehensive programs and services to at-risk youth and their families. Jewish National Fund is a 113-year-old organization that has planted more than 250 million trees, built over 240 reservoirs and dams and provided infrastructure for thousands throughout Israel.

Part of our mission, as members of the largest Jewish softball league in the country, is to repair the world. Tikkun olam is something the league has taken very seriously and this tournament is our chance raise money and send a message that our league is more than just Sunday morning fun.

Please see the attached flier and sponsorship opportunities for more information, but here’s my challenge to you: Each team donates at least two items for the silent auction and participates on at least one sponsorship level. Let’s tap our business connections and do some good for those in need!

Let’s get to giving!
