The Judea Big Dogs continued their winning ways on Sunday vs. Chutzpah. A tight game early on, in the 3rd – Brent Polacheck came through with a clutch 2-out 3run HR – his first of 2 on the day and 3 total this year, plus 10 rbi’s. Judea never looked back and again crossed the 20 run threshold – scoring 21 runs. Home runs also from Danny Bennish, and Norm Tamkin, and there would have been a 5th HR if Richie Decker didnt pull his quad muscle running to 3rd. Richie by the way is now 7-7 batting 1000% in his 2 games played! Bryan Barry had a 3 hit game and has now scored a team high, 8 runs in 3 games. Mike Grenley also had another 3 hit game and is batting a solid 643% on the year. The biggest surprise of the team though is by far Craig Sobel – who is obviously in a contract year, and hoping for a big payday! HE is 10-13 batting 769% and as a fellow teammate so eloquently put it-” he is awkwardly good”. Judea is now 3-0, and faces a solid Sinai team come Sunday. Judea maintained a +600% team batting average, and now has 10 HR”s in 3 games! Honorable mention goes to Jason Bender who is batting the “ugliest” 538% in the history of Synagogue Softball.
